Onion uthappam
Ingredients- Dosa batter – 2 cup
- Onion (very finely chopped) – 1 nos
- Ginger (grated) – 1cm long piece
- Black pepper (crushed) – 5 nos
- Mustard seeds – 1tsp
- Oil – tsp
Method- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add onion, ginger, black pepper and sprinkle some salt.
- Fry till raw smell of onion goes.
- Add this to the batter and mix well.
- Heat a fry pan and grease it with oil.
- Pour a ladle full of batter in the pan and spread it into a small circle.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook till one side is done.
- Remove the lid, flip it over and cook till both sides are golden brown.
- Serve with sambar and coconut chutney.
