Veppila katti - Curry leaves chutney powder
Ingredients- Curry leaves – 2 cup
- Freshly grated coconut – 2 cup
- Yellow split pea – 2 tbsp
- Red chilly (vattal mulaku) – 10 nos
- Black pepper – 10 nos
- Tamarind - small lemon size
- Salt – as required
Method- Heat a thick bottom pan in medium heat.
- Dry roast yellow split pea till it turn golden brown and keep aside.
- Then dry roast all the other ingredients except tamarind and salt.
- Saute continuously and take a good care not to burn them.
- When coconut become golden brown in color remove from fire.
- Allow them to cool.
- Then grind all the ingredients together into a fine powder.
- Keep it in an airtight container.
