Ingredients
- Raw plantain (cut into small cubes) – 1
- Beef with fat – ½ kg
- Onion (thinly sliced) – 1 no
- Ginger (crushed) – 2 cm long piece
- Button onion (crushed) – 4 pods
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves –a few
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Salt – as required
- Cook beef, onion, ginger, salt along with half portion of chilly, turmeric and ¼ cup of water.
- Add plantain and cook.
- In a pan heat oil and add button onion, curry leaves and all the remaining spices.
- Fry them till button onion and spices are well fried and oil starts to separate.
- Add cooked plantain and beef and mix well.
- When the curry begins to thicken remove from flame.
This one is really a mouth watering recipe. Really nice.

ReplyDeleteThats a really tempting ularthu, nice picture! I have tasted this dish once at my friends home and really loved it. My mother used to prepare a beef and koorkka ularthu, i loved that version too. Thanks for sharing this recipe..Bookmarked it!
